Wear Wolfs!

Red Coca Cola Earrings from Recycled Metal OOAK
Now, you may think these are just a normal pair of earrings, but they are recycled bottle tops made into earrings! My teacher's mom, Vikki Wolf, makes these beautiful pieces of wearable art. She has always been good at art, and has had several other companies including: Wolfware (by wearwolfs) and Wee Wolfs. As you can see they all register to her last name, Wolf. I personally LOVE her earrings, I own Sprite ones myself, and one of my best friends, Carley, owns some Dr. Pepper ones. You can See Wear Wolfs in the Fall 2009 edition of home magazine. Or you can visit http://www.wearwolfs.com/index.html for more information. This would make a great gift for one of those special women in your life! You can email us at gagaearth@gmail.com

another special water

ANOTHER SPECIAL WATER

You know when Anna told you about the “special” water”. Well I’m here to tell you about another special water.
It is arrowhead! It’s not the water that makes it special. It’s the bottle! The bottle happens to use 30% less plastic then their regular bottles. Isn’t that cool! I certainly think so!

Hunters

May I ask you a very important question? Who are hunters to you? Are they close family? Are they mean people who disgust you? Well I would like to tell you that hunters are not exactly what you think. They are not mean and careless people. In fact what have you eaten today or even in the past hour? Well if it has been meat it’s been killed or hunted. Sorry to break it to you but it’s the truth. There are misunderstood things about hunters and Bambi. Don’t even get me started. There are lies all over that movie. I don’t even to want talk to you about it. I hope this article has changed the way you think about hunters.

Red Pandas

Pandas are amazing animals. But did you know that there is a different type of panda? It is called a red panda. They look like a raccoon that’s red. The only thing they have in common is they eat bamboo, are endandered and live in China.

These amazing animals are very good at climbing up and around things. They also have arms that stretch out to reach bamboos long stalks.

I hope you have learned something will pass it on to your friends!

Go Green

Go Green!

Are you beginning to think that what you are doing for the environment is not having an impact? Well here is some proof that what you are doing helps; and some more tips for going green.

As we all know going green is more than a trend, it’s a lifestyle.

Tips. . .

This fall instead of a leaf blower use a rake instead.

Winter is just around the corner, don’t expect your thermostat to keep you warm in summer-wear. Instead dress for the weather; it’s just as trendy.

Choose LED (light emitting diodes) For your holiday decor they are just as good, if not better than regular lights, they stay cool and use only .04 watt That’s a .41 difference, oh and did I mention they last up to 10 times longer.

Unplug your appliances. When devices such as lamps are plugged in and not in use up to 40% electricity.

You can make a difference!

Did you know that every time you recycle a soda can it can power a TV for up to 3 hours

If you use cloth towels instead of paper towels you are playing a big part in not only reducing global warming and shrinking landfills, but you are also saving the world we all live in.

Do you use reusable bags? This also helps the world tremendously. Plastic Bags are a major contributor to landfills. Did you know that a plastic bag can be recycled? Or that a plastic bag can take 1,000’s of years to decompose. Every time you use your reusable bags you are saving us 1,000’s of years of landfills. Thank You!
